Rylee Black calls the high mountain desert of western Colorado home where she lives with her husband, two dogs, and two cats. Imagination and creativity have been a part of who she is from a young age. Reading, writing, drawing and playing violin filled her days as a child. Her writing took flight after a fifth-grade, five-page story assignment turned into ten-pages and garnered high praise from her teacher. Further accolades for her work in high school solidified her love of written word. Today she draws inspiration from the beauty of the mountains that surround her, the mystique of the old towns tucked away in those mountains, and the intrigue of a good mystery.
